Salt Break Surf Co. was founded in 2018 by two lifelong surfers who wanted to bring handcrafted quality back to the lineup. After years of riding mass-produced boards that felt generic under their feet, they decided to pick up a planer and start shaping.
Today our workshop produces roughly 200 boards per year, each one hand-shaped from a polyurethane or EPS blank, hand-foiled, and finished with bio-resin. Every board leaves the shop with a personal inspection and a hand-signed stringer.
If your board develops a manufacturing defect within the first 12 months, we will repair or replace it at no cost. Ding repair services are available year-round for any Salt Break board at a reduced shop rate.
Our shaping bay is open for visits Wednesday through Monday. Come see the process firsthand: from blank selection and template tracing through foiling, glassing, and fin installation. We love showing people how boards are made.
